This cosy house with a classic interior design is located at Batu Kawan, Penang.
The living-dining interior has an atmosphere of harmony and calmness. This effect was created by using a modern classic style and a warm grey colour palette, textures, and materials. We used suzuka texture paint on the TV wall and finished it with spray paint on the TV console. The staircase leading to the common bathroom is all covered with full-height hidden panels finished with wainscoating and wooden strip design.
For the dry kitchen area, we set up a convenient island for a quick meal. There is a chill bar as well for family and friends. Kompac Top is used for island top finishing with marble texture and curved edging. As a result, we got a bright and spacious but minimalist interior.
To emphasise the cosy vibe, we combined wall tile designs with backsplash materials made of marble and quartz in the kitchen. A sleeping area and a walk-through closet are divided in the master bedroom. The dressing table’s wood strip pattern and wood laminate textures soften the room’s functional aspects. Last but not least, we experiment with monotone pink in the playroom to give kids a playful experience.
